The trip to Roraima is one of the best expeditions in Latin America. The journey crosses savannahs, rivers, and thick cloud forest. It offers breathtaking views and the opportunity to explore a unique ecosystem at the top of the Roraima plateau, at a height of 2700 meters. It requires a medium or high physical level to complete this expedition of 6 days, with walks of between 4 and 8 hours a day. We recommend that you carry a personal baggage of no more than 10 kg, and leave any additional equipment on your lodging site in Santa Elena. In the evenings, you will sleep in tents (including 2 nights at the top), there will also be local guides Pemones and Guayaneses, who will prepare your meals daily. The trip starts in Santa Elena de Uairén at 8a.m. and concludes there 6 days later, around 6p.m.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1
You will depart from Santa Elena around 8a.m. for a 2 to 3 hour trip in Jeep to the village Pemón de Pareitepui, where visitors register with the National Park authorities, and where the helpers will load the equipment. After a light lunch, you will begin the journey of 4 to 5 hours through the open savannah, eventually arriving at Camp Tek, where you will spend the night in tents.

Day 2
After breakfast you will start another 6-hour hike. Today it will cross the Tek and Kukenan rivers, which can be a challenging experience if it has rained heavily. Passing through orchid fields, in the early hours of the afternoon, they will stop for lunch at the Military Camp. Then, the road will ascend for a few hours, taking you to the Base Camp, located at 1800 mt. of altitude, at the foot of Monte Roraima, where you will spend the second night.

Day 3
This is the most difficult day of trekking. After breakfast, there is an inclined journey for a couple of hours through a lush and beautiful cloud forest to the mountain wall, highlighted by a hillside of huge boulders and a waterfall. The trail rises along this natural rocky ramp that runs from right to left through the jungle and up the side of the cliffs, being the only accessible route to reach the summit, which takes about 90 minutes. After a light lunch, You can start exploring and enjoying the magnificent landscapes of the Gran Sabana at a height of 2700 meters. Tonight you will sleep on the top of Mount Roraima, sheltered by a natural protruding rock known as "The Hotels".

Day 4
The Mount Roraima plateau is about 70 mts2 and shows strange and peculiar rock formations, carnivorous plants and black frogs, unique to this ecosystem. After breakfast, you spend about 8 hours exploring the summit, walking towards the Valley of the Crystals; to the Triple Point Obelisk that marks the border between Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil; and to the well and cave system "El Pozo".

Day 5
After breakfast, you start the descent of the mountain on an all-day hike that will mark your return and return you through the jungle, through the savannah, and crossing the two rivers to Camp Tek. You. You can enjoy a refreshing swim or swim in the river at the end of this journey of 7-8 hours on the way.

6th
The final day will walk back to the village of Pareitepui. Here, after leaving a good tip, he will say goodbye to his Guides to meet his Jeeps and embark on the trip to Santa Elena, after a few cold drinks and a lunch. On the way they will stop in the Quebrada de Jaspe - a natural formation of water and beautiful reddish stones.
