DAY 1: CUSCO - BAMBU LODGE IN THE FOREST OF CLOUDS.
In the morning I pick you up from your Hotel in Cusco at 6:00 a.m. in our all-terrain vehicle to travel through Andean mountains, beautiful landscapes, rural folk communities such as Paucartambo and Ninamarca (chullpas or burial tombs) that belong to the pre-Inca culture LUPACAS. Then we climb the last mountain to reach Acjanaco, entrance to the MANU NATIONAL PARK, from where we will descend to the lush cloud forest which houses a great variety of flora and fauna. Being an ideal place of epiphytes, orchids, broméelas, etc. At 3:00 p.m. we will make a walk inside the cloud forest to appreciate the National bird of Peru, the colorful Cock of the Rocks in its ritual mating dance, as well as toucans, trogons, quetzals, monkeys and hopefully the spectacled bear of South America (Tremantus ornatos) . Overnight in our comfortable lodge.

 

DAY 2: BAMBU LODGE - SALVACIÓN VILLAGE - AMARAKAERY CAMP SITE.
Early in the morning we wake up under the song of the birds and we will walk in the Amazon high forest, visiting agricultural plantations of coca, cassava and other native products of the place. In the path to the tourist port of Atalaya we will observe a great variety of species of birds, squirrel monkeys, sloth bear and we will continue in our vehicle 2 hours more until the native village of Shintuya and soon we will board our comfortable and equipped boat. To begin to descend the serpentine high river Madre de Dios towards the Amarakaery camp site. Where we will enjoy a beautiful walk to the sacred cataraphy of the Amarakaery tribe and then refresh ourselves in hot thermal waters.

Swimming and fishing in the rivers and using the hammocks in the lodge is free and safe for all our visitors.

DAY 3: AMARAKAERY CAMP SITE - BOCA MANU - TAMBO BLANQUILLO.

Very early in the morning we embark in the direction of the small collpa (clay wall with mineral salts content) very important place, where hundreds of noisy parrots, parrots and small macaws or parrots gather to ingest the clay as final diet for your detoxification A spectacular bird show.

DAY 4: TAMBO BLANQUILLO.
At the first light of the day we will go to one of the most beautiful lakes of Manu (Cocha Blanco) with the help of a catamaran and a telescope we will observe a wide variety of monkeys, immense black caimans and the great family of giant otters (Pteronura brasilensis ), this endangered species can be seen swimming, fishing, eating or playing among the members of its family.
At mid-afternoon it will be time to start a 3-hour hike in the primary forest that are adorned by huge giant trees where the impressive lianas hang and there one can rock like a true Tarzan, an unforgettable experience. Then we go to the hidden platform very close to the mammal clay lick, a clay place with a high content of mineral salts that attracts the largest terrestrial mammal of the Amazon: the tapir, deer, monkeys and wild pigs peccaries, ideal place for observation and the photography of these mammals. Tonight we spend the night in Camping Tents with all the equipment on the platform.

DAY 5: TAMBO BLANQUILLO-COLORADO.
After a healthy breakfast it is time to pack our equipment to board our boat and sail for an hour to our next lake: Piraña there we have 3 hours of full activity to appreciate and photograph the different species of lake birds, fish and small reptiles
In the middle of the afternoon, we went completely to the town of Colorado. To spend our last night in the Amazon. A great typical dinner with exotic drinks from the Amazon.

DAY 6: COLORADO PUEBLO - CUSCO
Day of return to the city of Cusco, on the way we will make interesting stops to see up close the Ausangate snow peak with a perpetual glacial reaching 6300. m.s.n.m. the service ends with the transfer to your respective hotel in Cusco.
The service can also end in the city of Puerto Maldonado and that same day you can take your flight to the city of Lima or Cusco.

- Binocular and camera.
- Insect repellent at least 20% deet, sunscreen, sunglasses and cap or hat.
- Flashlight or lamp with battery.
