Salar de Tara
The Salar de Tara is near the edge where Chile, Bolivia and Argentina meet and part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, just over the crater of the Vilama volcano, which transforms it into a perfect place for trekking and for those who love the photograph.
The first stop of the tour will be in the Quepiaco River, where you can enjoy beautiful contrasts generated by the drastic change of landscape, we will continue to the Salar de Pujsa, one of the largest reserves of its kind and the nesting place for flamingos. The next destination is Monjes de la Pacana, huge rock formations that emerge abruptly in the middle of the desert. Finally, we arrive at Tara, one of the most beautiful attractions of the altiplano, we will walk through the cathedrals, we will pass by the salt lake, rich in flora and fauna, to finish with a lunch, in the middle of the peace and tranquility that this place provides
Schedule: Full day 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Height: 4,300 meters.
Acclimatization: 2 nights.
Includes: Pick up at the hotel, shared transportation, guide, breakfast and lunch.
What to bring: Water, warm clothing, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Restrictions: Not suitable for people with problems caused by altitude.
