Parque Farellones

Located in the municipality of Santiago de Lo Barnechea, at an altitude of 2340 meters, Farellones Park is a place of snow fun for all ages. Among the attractions are activities such as snow tubing, cable car, zip line, snow biking, tubing, among others. In addition, the park also offers smaller ski slopes for beginners, ideal for those who have never skied or want to ski just a little and then move on to other activities. Guaranteed snow fun!
The season begins when the snow arrives at the park, usually in mid-June, and ends when it leaves, in mid-September.

Common itinerary:

Departure time from Santiago: between 6:00 and 7:00 AM
Stop at the clothing and equipment rental shop at 8:00 AM
Arrival in Farellones between 9:00 and 10:00 AM (depends on traffic on the way up) – disembark here if you are only staying in Farellones.
Departure at park closing time 4:00 PM
Estimated arrival in Santiago at 5:30 PM.

Recommendations:

- Bring a water bottle to drink during the tour or buy one at the first stop and a snack for lunch if you don't want to spend too much on expensive meals in the Andes.

- Dress very warmly and bring extra clothes to change into if you get wet.
- Sunscreen. Don't be fooled, the sun burns even in the cold.
- Sunglasses.
- Always carry your valuables with you, don't leave them in the van, and always be vigilant in crowded places.
